Now the cooler nights are arriving, many people will be reaching for those thermostats!

What works best for you? Are you a heating on and off person, or a constant temperature person?

Traditional radiators vs. electric heaters - what's your views?

What do you think saves you the most energy?

Are you a heating on or an extra layers person?

Let's share our experiences and reduce those bills as winter draws closer!

Despite the cold weather which seems to have moved in we are still managing to resist putting the heating on.

Living at home, I don't seem to have much say on when the heating does go (despite paying board and lodgings :? ). The mother has dictated that the heating shall not be going on till at least the 1st November. In her defence I am still using my summer weight 4.5t tog duvet so I can't be THAT cold.

We are quite fortunate that we installed cavity wall insulation several years ago. So when the sun is out during the day the house seems to warm up quite nicely and retain the heat into the evening and night.
